Cups, a wine pitcher, bread, grapes, and a prepared meal fill the table while another warrior drinks beside them. The scene portrays David’s calculated attempt to make Uriah drunk after summoning him from the battlefield, hoping he would go home to Bathsheba and conceal David’s sin.
