A solitary raven stands in close profile against a softly lit sky, its dark plumage and watchful eye giving the bird a solemn, contemplative presence. In biblical imagery, the raven carries a striking tension: it is an unclean bird, yet God uses it as an instrument of care. Ravens fed Elijah by the brook Cherith during famine, showing that the Lord’s provision can arrive through unexpected means. Jesus also pointed to ravens as witnesses of the Father’s sustaining care, teaching that they neither sow nor reap, yet God feeds them.
